Jayapura — The efforts of the Operation Peace Cartenz Task Force in maintaining security and suppressing the activities of armed criminal groups (KKB) in Papua have received appreciation from the academic community. Papuan academic figure Dr. Alfius Aninam, S.Th., M.Pd., stated that the law enforcement measures carried out by the Task Force have had a positive impact on regional security stability.
The statement was delivered by Dr. Alfius in Jayapura City on Friday (December 19, 2025). He noted that the presence of the Operation Peace Cartenz Task Force has brought tangible improvements, particularly in fostering a sense of safety and order among the Papuan community.
According to him, the Indonesian National Police’s efforts through Operation Peace Cartenz deserve full support, as they align with the commitment to safeguarding the unity and richness of the Indonesian nation from Sabang to Merauke. He emphasized that Papua is an inseparable part of Indonesia and must be protected collectively.
On the same occasion, Dr. Alfius urged the people of Papua not to be easily provoked by irresponsible parties and to refrain from unlawful actions that could disrupt security and public order.
He also called on all elements of society to continue preserving a peaceful atmosphere, especially ahead of the Christmas celebrations, which are closely associated with values of peace, compassion, and joy.
Dr. Alfius expressed his hope that the Operation Peace Cartenz Task Force will continue to carry out its duties with consistency and professionalism to ensure that Papua remains safe and conducive.
“Operation Peace Cartenz has demonstrated real and measurable results. Let us continue to provide space and support so that a sense of safety and comfort can be enjoyed collectively in this land,” he concluded.
