Central Papua Governor Provides Assistance to Orphans in Mimika

Nabire – Central Papua Governor Meki Nawipa provided assistance to dozens of orphans during a fast-breaking event held at the Ahsanul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Mimika Regency, Central Papua.

“This assistance is a form of the government’s social concern during the holy month of Ramadan, a month full of blessings that teaches us to continuously strengthen our concern for others,” said Meki after providing assistance in Timika on Sunday.

He stated that the Central Papua Provincial Government continues to pay attention to various social and religious activities, including providing support to communities in need, especially children in Islamic boarding schools.

The assistance, in the form of food and cash, is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen social awareness and help ease the burden on orphans.

He hopes the assistance will be utilized effectively to support the education, guidance, and development needs of orphans in Islamic boarding schools and orphanages.

“What’s more important is how this assistance can be used wisely, especially to support the education and development of our children so they can have a better future,” he said.

The Governor also advised the orphans present to remain enthusiastic in pursuing education and to never stop dreaming of a better future.

“I hope the children remain enthusiastic about learning, diligent in pursuing their education, and continue to strive for a better future,” he said.

The breaking of the fast was attended by Islamic boarding school administrators, religious leaders, and the local community. The assistance provided is expected to benefit the educational needs and welfare of orphans in the area.
