Law Enforcement Efforts Deemed Effective, Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Gains Support from Papuan Academician

Jayapura — The performance of the Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force in maintaining security and enforcing the rule of law in Papua has once again received positive recognition. This time, support comes from a Papuan academician who considers the Task Force’s efforts to have had a tangible impact on regional stability.

Papuan academician Dr. Alfius Aninam, S.Th., M.Pd., stated that the presence of the Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force has been effective in suppressing the activities of armed criminal groups (KKB) that have long disrupted public order. He conveyed this in Jayapura on Friday (19/12/2025).

According to him, firm yet measured law enforcement measures have contributed to a safer and more conducive environment, allowing Papuan communities to carry out their daily activities with a greater sense of security. He emphasized that these conditions reflect the state’s strong commitment to protecting all citizens in Papua.

Dr. Alfius also expressed his support for the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in their ongoing efforts to maintain security and public order, describing these efforts as an integral part of safeguarding the unity of Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke. He reaffirmed that Papua is an inseparable part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

On the same occasion, he called on the people of Papua not to be influenced by provocations from irresponsible parties seeking to create security disturbances. He urged the public to stay away from unlawful actions that could undermine regional stability.

As Christmas approaches, Dr. Alfius encouraged all elements of society to strengthen unity and preserve a peaceful atmosphere, in line with the values of Christmas that emphasize peace, love, and joy.

“Operation Peace Cartenz has demonstrated concrete results. Let us continue to provide space and support so that a sense of safety and comfort can be sustained across Papua,” he concluded.
