Jayapura – The Indonesian government has disbursed Rp19.87 trillion in Transfers to Regions (TKD) to regional governments across Papua as of the end of July 2026.
The fund distribution is part of the government’s policy to support governance, development, and the improvement of public services across the six provinces in the Papua region.
Head of the Papua Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb), Izharul Haq, said the transfers consist of several components, including Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH), General Allocation Funds (DAU), Special Allocation Funds (DAK), Special Autonomy Funds, and Village Funds.
Of the total transfers, the General Allocation Fund accounted for the largest portion at Rp13.11 trillion. The government also disbursed Rp919.07 billion in Revenue Sharing Funds and Rp1.86 trillion in Special Allocation Funds.
Meanwhile, the Special Autonomy Fund distributed across Papua reached Rp2.96 trillion, while Village Funds amounted to approximately Rp1 trillion.
Izharul said the government continues to encourage the acceleration of budget realization to ensure that planned development programs can promptly deliver benefits to local communities.
As of the end of July 2026, state budget spending in the Papua region reached approximately Rp27.58 trillion, equivalent to 46.74 percent of the total budget allocation for the current fiscal year.
The government expects the optimization of regional transfers and the acceleration of state budget spending to strengthen development across various sectors, improve basic public services, and promote economic growth and public welfare throughout Papua.
