TIMIKA, CENTRAL PAPUA – The Cartenz Peace Operation-2026 Police Task Force once again demonstrated its care for children in Papua through a charitable visit to Santa Susana Orphanage in SP 2, Timika, Central Papua, on Thursday (October 8, 2026).
The visit was not only about distributing aid but also provided an opportunity for personnel from the Banops Task Force to interact and spend quality time with the children. Upon arrival, personnel immediately mingled with the children, inviting them to play and chat in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The activity continued with a prayer led by Teresyah, a representative of Santa Susana Orphanage. Following the prayer, personnel distributed school bags, stationery, and sandals, as well as snacks and milk for the children.
The assistance is expected to help meet the children’s daily needs while encouraging them to continue learning and pursuing their dreams. However, for the Task Force personnel, being present and interacting directly with the children was an equally important part of the visit.
Frederika Takndare, caretaker of the Santa Susana Orphanage Foundation in Timika, expressed her appreciation for the visit and the attention shown by the Cartenz Peace Operation-2026 Police Task Force.
“Thank you to the men and women of the Cartenz Peace Operation Police Task Force for visiting Santa Susana Orphanage. We hope this visit brings happiness, joy, and blessings to the children here,” Frederika said.
She also expressed hope that the care and support would continue in the future.
“Our hope is that the Cartenz Peace Operation Police Task Force will continue visiting Santa Susana Orphanage in the future,” she added.
The Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation-2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., said the activity was part of the Task Force’s humanistic approach to building closer relationships with the community.
“The Cartenz Peace Operation Police Task Force is not only responsible for carrying out security duties but also strives to be present among the community through social activities. Children are an important part of Papua’s future, and providing them with care and support is something that must continue,” said the Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation-2026.
He explained that simple interactions, such as playing and talking with children, could also help foster positive relationships with the community.
“We want our personnel’s presence to bring benefits and leave a positive impression. Sharing, playing together, and listening to children are simple ways of demonstrating our care and concern,” he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation-2026, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., said social activities were one way personnel could demonstrate their presence among the community through a humanistic approach.
“Through activities like this, personnel can interact directly with the community and share moments of happiness with children. We encourage our personnel to continue building communication and demonstrating social responsibility in every area where they are assigned,” said the Deputy Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation-2026.
He expressed hope that the assistance would provide practical benefits while motivating the children in their daily activities and education.
“We hope the assistance will be useful and encourage the children to keep learning, growing, and pursuing their dreams,” he added.
The visit to Santa Susana Orphanage was another example of how the Cartenz Peace Operation-2026 Police Task Force demonstrates its presence not only through security duties but also through care and direct engagement with the community. Amid various challenges and limitations, even small gestures of kindness are expected to bring happiness and inspire the children to keep moving forward toward a brighter future.
