Wamena – The Highland Papua Provincial Government has called on health workers serving across its eight regencies to continue providing the best possible healthcare services, particularly in remote areas facing geographical challenges and limited access to medical facilities.
Acting Regional Secretary of Highland Papua Province, Wasuok D. Siep, said health workers play a vital role in improving the quality of public healthcare services. Therefore, he emphasized the importance of maintaining their dedication and professionalism to ensure communities receive optimal healthcare.
“We hope all health workers will continue delivering the best possible services to people across the eight regencies. Despite working in areas with various limitations, their spirit of service must remain strong to help improve the overall health of our communities,” Wasuok said.
He also expressed appreciation for the commitment shown by health workers who have continued serving in remote and rural areas despite difficult terrain and limited facilities. According to him, their dedication reflects a strong commitment to ensuring healthcare services remain accessible to those in need.
Wasuok added that the Highland Papua Provincial Government continues to encourage the Provincial Health Office to strengthen coordination with district administrations to ensure the gradual fulfillment of healthcare personnel, medical equipment, and supporting infrastructure.
In addition, the provincial government is working closely with Indonesia’s Ministry of Health to improve the capacity of healthcare professionals, strengthen health facilities, and expand access to quality healthcare services throughout Highland Papua.
Through these efforts, the Highland Papua Provincial Government hopes healthcare services across all eight regencies will continue to improve, ensuring that residents receive equitable, high-quality, and sustainable medical care.
