Nabire – In preparation for the 80th Bhayangkara Day Anniversary in 2026, the Nabire Police Resort (Polres Nabire) organized a health screening program for all personnel through the Free Health Check-Up (CKG) Program on Tuesday (June 2, 2026).
The activity, held at the Wicaksana Laghawa Hall of Polres Nabire, was conducted in collaboration with the Kota Lama Nabire Community Health Center (Puskesmas) as part of the police force’s commitment to maintaining the health and fitness of its officers while carrying out public service duties.
A range of medical services was provided to participants, including height and weight measurements, waist circumference assessments, health screenings, laboratory examinations, medical consultations, and treatment recommendations based on individual examination results.
Nabire Police Chief, AKBP Samuel D. Tatiratu, stated that the program was part of a series of events commemorating the 80th Bhayangkara Day Anniversary. He emphasized that the initiative was not merely ceremonial but also aimed at improving the quality of human resources within the Indonesian National Police (Polri).
According to him, the health condition of police personnel is a crucial factor in supporting law enforcement duties, which require constant readiness and optimal public service. Therefore, regular health examinations serve as a strategic measure to detect potential health issues at an early stage.
“Through this activity, we want to ensure that all personnel maintain good health conditions so they can perform their duties to the fullest. In addition, this program serves as an educational effort to encourage officers to adopt healthier lifestyles and recognize the importance of routine medical check-ups,” said the Police Chief.
The program received positive responses from personnel who participated in the examinations. It is expected that similar activities will continue to be carried out regularly as a preventive measure to safeguard officers’ health while supporting the realization of professional, humane, and excellent police services for the community.
