INTAN JAYA – Limited access to health services in the mountainous region of Intan Jaya has prompted Task Force Operasi Damai Cartenz 2026 to deliver medical services directly to local communities. Through mobile health service activities, personnel of Task Force Damai Cartenz traveled along footpaths in Sugapa District to ensure residents received proper health care and attention.
On Saturday morning (February 7, 2026), personnel of Task Force Operasi Damai Cartenz 2026 carried out an integrated mobile health service activity led by Briptu KGS. Muhammad Ramadhan Doeng, Commander of Belukar Squad 4.0.1 ODC 2026, together with one squad of personnel. The activity began with a preparatory roll call at the Perpus Belukar Post before moving along the route to Pos Perpusa, Simpang Lima, Yokatapa Village, and Bajemba Village.
Along the route, personnel provided basic health services by checking residents’ health conditions, distributing medicines and vitamins, and offering basic health education. Children, mothers, and the elderly were the groups that benefited most from the presence of direct health services in their villages.
This activity was a response to the geographical challenges of Papua’s mountainous areas, which make it difficult for communities to access formal health facilities. By reaching residents directly, Task Force Damai Cartenz seeks to ensure that health services are distributed more evenly, without the need for long and risky travel.
The Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized that health services are a vital component of the humanitarian approach adopted in operations in Papua.
“These health services reflect our concern for the conditions faced by communities in mountainous regions. We want to ensure that residents remain healthy and receive proper attention, because health is the main foundation for a safe and prosperous life,” said Brig. Gen. Pol. Faizal Ramadhani.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, added that providing health services directly helps strengthen ties between personnel and the community.
“By visiting villages and delivering health services directly, our personnel can build emotional closeness with residents. We listen to their health concerns and provide assistance according to their needs. This is a form of police service that is present and truly cares,” said Sr. Comr. Pol. Adarma Sinaga.
The benefits of this activity were felt immediately by the people of Sugapa. Residents received health check-ups and medicines without having to travel long distances, allowing their daily activities to continue as normal. Until the activity concluded, the community’s health condition was observed to be good and the overall situation remained conducive.
Through simple yet meaningful steps along the mountainous paths of Sugapa, Task Force Operasi Damai Cartenz 2026 demonstrated that safeguarding Papua also means safeguarding the health of its people, fostering hope and improving quality of life from one village to another.
