Oksibil – The Peace Operation Cartenz-2026 Task Force provided assistance and visited the Tactical Command Post (Poskotis) 431/SSP/3/3 Kostrad Den 4 Rajawali in Serambakon District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency, Papua Pegunungan, on Wednesday (January 21, 2026).
The visit aimed to review personnel readiness and provide motivation to Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (Polri) personnel serving in the mountainous region, which faces challenging terrain and security dynamics.
The assistance was led by the Head of the Peace Operations Assistance Task Force (Kasatgas Banops) Cartenz-2026, Senior Commissioner Bambang Widiatmoko, accompanied by other task force chiefs. In addition to inspecting the post and personnel, the group also conducted a friendly meeting with TNI personnel and conducted a joint TNI-Polri patrol in Serambakon District.
The Head of the Carstensz-2026 Peace Operation, Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, stated that the activity demonstrated the leadership’s concern for personnel serving in the field.
“This assistance aims to maintain solidarity, strengthen TNI-Polri synergy, and ensure optimal security implementation in the Papua region,” Faizal said in his statement.
He added that the direct presence of leaders in the field is expected to increase the morale, loyalty, and professionalism of personnel in carrying out security duties.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of the Carstensz-2026 Peace Operation, Senior Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, emphasized the importance of harmonious relations between task forces and regional ranks to support the operation’s success.
According to him, solid synergy will strengthen coordination and maintain sustainable security stability in the Papua region.
Through these assistance activities and joint patrols, the Carstensz-2026 Peace Operation Task Force affirmed its commitment to maintaining a safe and conducive security situation in Pegunungan Bintang Regency and the Papua region in general.
