Jayapura — The implementation of Operation Peaceful Cartenz has had a tangible impact on strengthening the public’s sense of security across Papua. This assessment was conveyed by Papuan religious leader Reverend Dr. Yones Wenda, Friday (December 19, 2025).
He stated that consistent law enforcement actions against armed criminal groups have reduced security threats in several areas, resulting in a more orderly and peaceful environment.
“We feel a real change toward a calmer and more secure situation. This shows that Operation Peaceful Cartenz has brought positive results for the community,” he said.
Reverend Yones expressed hope that the improved security conditions would be sustained through continued cooperation between the task force and the public, adding that peace should remain the foundation for building a better future for Papua.
