PUNCAK JAYA, CENTRAL PAPUA — The Police Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 conducted a foot patrol while engaging directly with residents and children in Muara District, Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua, on Saturday morning (October 3, 2026).
The activity was carried out as part of efforts to maintain public security and order while strengthening communication and closer relations between security personnel and the local community.
During the patrol, personnel walked through several areas of Muara District while monitoring security conditions and observing daily community activities. Beyond their security duties, personnel also took time to greet residents and engage in direct conversations.
The atmosphere became more relaxed when the personnel met children along the patrol route. They shared snacks with the children while engaging them in simple conversations and lighthearted interactions. The children responded enthusiastically to the presence of the personnel.
The interaction formed part of the humanitarian approach promoted by the Police Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026, emphasizing direct communication and care for the community, particularly children.
A local resident, Philipus Wadu, expressed his appreciation for the presence of the Police Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 in Muara District.
“We would like to thank the Peace Cartenz Task Force for consistently being present in Muara District, helping maintain security in the area. We are also pleased to see positive activities, such as greeting and communicating directly with residents and sharing food with children,” Philipus said.
He expressed hope that communication between the task force personnel and local residents would continue so that a safe and comfortable atmosphere in Muara District could be maintained.
Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., said patrols were part of the task force’s responsibility to maintain security while also providing opportunities for personnel to communicate directly with residents.
“Patrols are not only intended to monitor security conditions, but also provide an opportunity for personnel to be present and communicate directly with the community. When personnel greet residents, talk with them and interact with children, it is part of the humanitarian approach that we promote,” Inspector General Faizal said.
He added that the presence of personnel among residents was expected to provide a sense of security while strengthening relations between security personnel and the community.
“We want people to feel that the presence of the task force is part of efforts to maintain security while also providing benefits through positive interaction. Simple things such as greeting people and sharing food with children can serve as a bridge for building good communication,” he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., said foot patrols gave personnel greater opportunities to directly observe community conditions and interact with residents.
“Foot patrols allow personnel to be closer to the community. In addition to ensuring public security and order, personnel can greet residents, listen to their concerns and interact with children. We encourage every security duty to continue prioritizing a humanitarian approach,” Chief Commissioner Adarma said.
According to him, direct communication could strengthen relations between personnel and local residents.
“Through good communication, residents can directly convey their circumstances and concerns to personnel. Therefore, activities such as dialogue-based patrols and interaction with the community will continue to be encouraged as part of efforts to maintain a safe and conducive environment,” he added.
Throughout the activity, security and public order in Muara District remained stable. Community activities continued normally, while the patrol proceeded safely and smoothly.
