SUGAPA, INTAN JAYA, CENTRAL PAPUA – The atmosphere at Yokatapa Elementary School (SD Inpres Yokatapa) in Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua, was filled with joy on Saturday (September 5, 2026), as personnel from the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 visited the school to bring happiness to students and provide health services to teachers.
The visit was carried out by the Task Force’s Psychological Support Team as part of its humanistic approach to building positive relationships with local communities, particularly children and educators in the area.
During the visit, the personnel engaged the students in various games and light activities, interacted with them in a relaxed atmosphere, and distributed school bags and stationery to support their learning activities.
The attention was not limited to the students. The Task Force’s Health Team also provided health services and medical check-ups for teachers at the school as a form of concern for their well-being and appreciation for their dedication to educating children in the region.
The arrival of the Task Force personnel was warmly welcomed by the students. Their smiles and enthusiasm were immediately visible as they gathered to take part in the activities.
The children were then invited to participate in several simple group games. What had initially been a quiet school environment quickly became more lively as the students laughed, encouraged one another, and interacted with the Task Force personnel.
Through these activities, the personnel sought not only to create a fun experience but also to establish closer communication with the children. The students were given the opportunity to play, talk, and interact freely in a friendly atmosphere.
Such interactions are expected to help create a sense of comfort and trust, while allowing the children to see the presence of the Task Force personnel from a more positive and familiar perspective.
The children’s excitement grew when the personnel distributed school bags and stationery. Although the items were simple, they carried meaningful value for the students, particularly in supporting their daily educational activities.
“Thank you,” was heard repeatedly from the children as they received the school supplies. Their smiles and expressions of happiness reflected how meaningful the attention was to them.
Meanwhile, the Health Team provided medical check-ups and basic health services to the teachers. The activity was intended to show appreciation and concern for educators who play an important role in accompanying, teaching, and guiding children in the community.
The interaction between the Task Force personnel and the teachers also took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. In addition to conducting health checks, the personnel spoke with the teachers about the condition of the school and their daily experiences in carrying out their responsibilities.
One of the teachers at Yokatapa Elementary School, Surianti Limbong, expressed her appreciation for the attention given to the students and school community.
“We are very grateful to the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz for bringing joy to our children. The school bags and stationery are very helpful because we still face limitations in providing learning supplies,” Surianti said.
She said the presence of Task Force personnel at the school provided a positive experience for the children. Beyond receiving school supplies, the students were able to interact directly with the personnel and enjoy games together in a relaxed and cheerful environment.
“We hope that this kind of attention can continue to be given to the children of Papua. We hope all Operation Peace Cartenz personnel will always be blessed with good health and continue to help the community throughout their assignment,” she added.
The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., said the presence of personnel in schools was part of the Task Force’s efforts to build positive relationships with local communities through activities that provide direct benefits.
“Children and teachers are important parts of community life in the areas where our personnel are assigned. Therefore, our presence is not only about maintaining security but also about showing care through simple and beneficial activities for both students and educators,” said the Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026.
The Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., echoed the statement, saying that positive interactions with students and teachers were expected to create meaningful experiences while supporting educators in carrying out their duties.
“We hope the children will become even more enthusiastic about learning and that the teachers will remain healthy as they carry out their responsibilities as educators. Simple activities such as playing together, sharing school supplies, and providing health services are part of our commitment to caring for the community,” said the Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026.
