Tonny Tesar Provides Cement Assistance for Village-Owned Enterprise Development in Kabuena

Serui – Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) member from the NasDem Party faction, Tonny Tesar, has provided assistance in the form of 20 sacks of cement to support the continued construction of the office and commercial building of the Mambora Maju Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMKamp) in Kabuena Village, Yapen Islands Regency, Papua.

The assistance was handed over on Wednesday (September 2, 2026) through Tonny Tesar’s expert staff member, Yohannes G. Raubaba, together with NasDem Party faction member of the Yapen Islands Regional Legislative Council (DPRK), Emma Tauran.

The construction materials were received directly by Elon Tawarare, chairman of the construction committee for the Mambora Maju BUMKamp office and commercial building.

Elon expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Tonny Tesar for his concern and support for the development of community-based business facilities in Kabuena Village.

“On behalf of myself, my family, and the people of Kabuena Village, we would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Tonny Tesar for the assistance he has provided. This support is very meaningful in helping us continue and facilitate the construction work currently underway,” Elon said.

According to him, the construction materials are expected to help accelerate the development of the BUMKamp office and commercial building so that the facility can soon be utilized for the benefit of the local community.

“We may not be able to repay this kindness, but our prayers are that God will always bless Mr. Tonny Tesar and grant him success and smoothness in carrying out his activities and duties as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives,” he said.

The Mambora Maju BUMKamp office and commercial building is being constructed on a 21-by-21-meter plot of land. The building itself measures 16 by 11 meters and is designed to have two floors.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the BUMKamp office and shop was previously held on July 13, 2024, during the tenure of Acting Yapen Islands Regent Welliam Manderi.

Construction is currently continuing in stages. With support from various parties, the Mambora Maju BUMKamp office and commercial building is targeted for completion in 2027.

The facility is expected to strengthen the management of village-owned businesses, create new economic opportunities for local residents, and contribute to improving the welfare of the people of Kabuena Village.

Support from the government, elected representatives, and the community is expected to ensure that the Mambora Maju Village-Owned Enterprise becomes not only a physical development project but also a sustainable driver of the village economy in Yapen Islands Regency.
