Sarmi, Papua – The Operation Damai Cartenz-2026 Task Force continues to prioritize a humanitarian approach through health services and social outreach activities for the community. On this occasion, the Public Relations Task Force, together with the Health Sub-task Force (part of the Operation Damai Cartenz-2026 Support Task Force) and Sarmi Resort Police personnel, conducted free health services combined with the distribution of gift packages to children in the Mararena Mess area, Waaf Village, Toor Atas District, Sarmi Regency, on Wednesday (July 29, 2026).
The activity was led directly by the Head of the Operation Damai Cartenz-2026 Public Relations Task Force, Senior Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., accompanied by Health Sub-task Force personnel led by First Police Inspector Dr. Chintiya Widodo, as well as Public Relations Task Force personnel and support from Sarmi Resort Police officers.
Health services began in the morning, providing health check-ups, medical consultations, and treatment to the residents of Waaf Village. In addition to providing medical care, personnel also carried out humanitarian outreach by distributing gift packages to children present at the location, demonstrating care and an effort to strengthen the bond between the National Police (Polri) and the community.
Senior Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., Head of the Operation Damai Cartenz-2026 Public Relations Task Force, stated that the activity was part of Operation Damai Cartenz’s commitment to maintaining a presence and providing beneficial services to the people of Papua.
“Through these health services and social outreach activities, we want to ensure that the community truly feels the benefits of the National Police’s presence. We aim not only to maintain security but also to provide humanitarian services that directly address the residents’ needs. We hope activities like this can improve public health quality while strengthening harmonious relations between the National Police and the community,” said the Head of the Public Relations Task Force. Martina Uduas, the Acting Head of Waaf Village in Toor Atas District, expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the Operation Damai Cartenz-2026 Task Force and the Sarmi Resort Police (Polres Sarmi) for the healthcare services provided to the community.
“We extend our thanks to the Damai Cartenz Task Force and Sarmi Police for the services rendered today. We hope that services like this will continue to be enhanced so that the community can access quality healthcare, including the medications provided by the Damai Cartenz Task Force and Sarmi Police,” she stated.
The Head of Operation Damai Cartenz-2026, Police Inspector General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that healthcare services represent a tangible form of the National Police’s (Polri) presence in delivering direct benefits to the community.
“A humanistic approach is a crucial element in the execution of Operation Damai Cartenz. Through healthcare services and social activities like this, we aim to build a closer bond with the community while helping to meet their basic needs. The presence of the National Police must provide both a sense of security and tangible benefits to the public,” said the Operation Head.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Operation Damai Cartenz-2026, Police Senior Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that healthcare service activities would continue to be carried out on an ongoing basis, reflecting the National Police’s concern for the communities within the operational area.
“We will continue to promote humanistic activities that directly address the community’s needs. The synergy between the Damai Cartenz Task Force, the Resort Police, healthcare professionals, and the community serves as a vital asset in improving service quality and strengthening public trust in the National Police,” said the Deputy Operation Head.
