Puncak Jaya – Personnel of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 conducted a foot patrol in Muara District, Puncak Jaya Regency, on Sunday (July 26, 2026). In addition to monitoring the security situation, the patrol served as an opportunity to engage directly with local residents and gather information about community conditions and daily activities.
Throughout the patrol, personnel greeted residents they met along the route and held conversations regarding the security situation in their neighborhoods. They also encouraged the public to continue maintaining security and to promptly report any potential disturbances to public order and safety.
A warm atmosphere was evident when several children approached the officers, who distributed snacks during the activity. The personnel took time to interact and chat with the children, while parents nearby observed the engagement. This interaction reflected the human-centered approach consistently implemented by the task force in carrying out its duties.
The patrol continued with security monitoring at several locations across Muara District to ensure that community activities were running safely and normally. By the end of the operation, the security situation remained conducive, and residents continued their daily routines without disruption.
The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that the patrol is part of the effort to maintain security while strengthening direct communication with the community.
“The presence of our personnel in the field is not only to carry out security duties but also to listen directly to the concerns and conditions faced by the community. Dialogues like these are an essential part of how we perform our mission,” said the Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that a dialogical and human-centered approach will continue to be a key component of operational activities throughout Papua.
“We will continue to prioritize a dialogical and human-centered approach in every aspect of our operations. The presence of personnel among the community—greeting residents, engaging in conversations, and interacting with children—reflects our commitment to strengthening public trust and fostering harmonious relationships between security personnel and the people,” he said.
One of the residents of Muara District, Mrs. Mowenda, expressed her appreciation for the routine patrols, saying they provide the community with an opportunity to communicate directly with security personnel about conditions in their neighborhood.
“We are grateful that the officers regularly come to greet us. Opportunities like this allow us to share what we see and experience in our community,” Mrs. Mowenda said.
Beyond monitoring the security situation, the activity also served as a platform for strengthening communication between the personnel of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 and the local community through direct interaction and dialogue in the field.
