Papuan Youth Leader Supports Humanitarian Approach and Law Enforcement Efforts of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force

Jayapura – Papuan youth leader Gifli Buinei expressed his appreciation for the presence of security personnel who not only carry out their duties in maintaining public security and order but also actively assist communities through various humanitarian and social programs across Papua.

According to Gifli, the humanitarian approach adopted by security forces is an important foundation for building public trust while strengthening unity and maintaining regional stability.

“The presence of security personnel who not only perform security functions but also contribute to addressing the social needs of the community is an important asset in strengthening unity and maintaining regional stability,” Gifli Buinei said in Jayapura.

He also voiced his support for the law enforcement measures carried out by the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force against armed criminal groups (KKB) and other individuals who continue to engage in acts of violence that threaten public safety and security.

According to him, law enforcement conducted in a professional, proportional, and lawful manner is an essential component in realizing a safe, peaceful, and orderly Papua.

“We support the law enforcement efforts undertaken by the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force against armed criminal groups and any parties that continue to commit acts of violence and disrupt public security,” he stated.

In addition, Gifli urged the people of Papua not to be easily influenced by unverified information and to exercise greater caution when receiving and sharing information.
He encouraged all elements of society to continue fostering unity, harmony, and peace in order to maintain a conducive situation throughout Papua.

“The public should not be easily provoked by information or hoaxes whose accuracy has not been verified. Let us work together to preserve unity and peace in Papua,” he said.

Furthermore, Gifli expressed his hope that the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force will continue to prioritize persuasive and humanitarian approaches through various social programs that directly address the needs of local communities, particularly in the fields of education, healthcare, and community empowerment.

According to him, such programs can provide tangible benefits to the public while strengthening the relationship between security personnel and local residents.

“These efforts are expected to support the realization of a Papua that is safe, progressive, peaceful, and prosperous,” Gifli concluded.
