Keerom, Papua – Personnel from the Task Force Peace Cartenz 2026 distributed social assistance to two orphanages in Keerom Regency, Papua, on Wednesday (June 3), as part of ongoing efforts to support local communities and improve the welfare of Papuan children.
The assistance was provided to Muhammadiyah Orphanage in Arso X and Shalom Orphanage in Arso VIII. The initiative is part of the task force’s community outreach program aimed at strengthening relations with local residents while supporting the well-being of vulnerable groups, particularly children.
Task force personnel handed over the assistance directly to the orphanage administrators. The support is expected to help meet the daily needs of children living under the care of the institutions.
The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, stated that supporting Papuan children remains an important component of the operation’s commitment to community development throughout Papua.
“Papuan children are the future of the nation and deserve our collective support and protection. Through initiatives like this, we want to demonstrate that the presence of the state extends beyond security efforts and includes care, attention, and social responsibility toward local communities,” said Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani.
He emphasized that efforts to build a peaceful and secure Papua should be accompanied by social programs that provide direct benefits to communities, particularly those requiring additional support and assistance.
The Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, said humanitarian activities would continue to play an important role in the operation’s community-centered approach.
According to Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, social outreach programs help foster trust and strengthen engagement between security personnel and local residents, while encouraging positive opportunities for young people across Papua.
Through the initiative, Task Force Peace Cartenz 2026 reaffirmed its commitment to contributing not only to public security but also to social welfare through humanitarian and community development programs across Papua.
