NDUGA — Efforts to create a safe and peaceful Papua continue through increasingly humanistic approaches. The Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 is present not only as a security force, but also as a partner to the community, actively building communication down to the village level.
This was seen in Kenyam District, Nduga Regency, on Thursday (2/2/2026). Personnel of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 Sector 3 Nduga carried out a dialogical patrol on foot, walking through Kora Village to the Siom Church area near the Koteka Post. This activity represented a tangible form of Polri’s persuasive and community-oriented approach.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, police personnel interacted directly with local residents and church congregations. Light conversations took place, accompanied by the distribution of basic food assistance as a gesture of concern for the community’s needs. The presence of the officers was warmly welcomed, reflecting the increasingly harmonious relationship between Polri and the local community.
The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that sustainable security can only be achieved when it is built upon public trust.
“Security cannot rely solely on weapons and patrols. What is far more important is building closeness and mutual trust. Through community visits, we want to ensure that Polri is truly present and that our presence brings real benefits to the people,” said Brigadier General of Police Faizal.
According to him, public trust is the main foundation in maintaining regional stability. With community support, security measures carried out by the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz will be more effective and well-targeted.
He also stressed that peace in Papua is a shared responsibility. Collaboration between security forces and the community is the key to creating a conducive and sustainable public security and order situation.
“A peaceful Papua is born from togetherness. When the community and Polri support and respect one another, security and order will be well maintained,” he concluded.
