Jayapura – The Papua Provincial Government is encouraging the expansion of protection and empowerment for Indigenous Papuan (OAP) businesses through the replication of the Indigenous Papuan Provider Performance Information System (SIKAP OAP) application to regencies and cities across Papua. This initiative is marked by a collaborative effort with the Kaimana Regency Government to replicate the application.
Papua Governor Matius D. Fakhiri expressed his appreciation for Kaimana Regency’s commitment to becoming the next region to adopt the system. He stated that strengthening this digital system is crucial to ensuring that government services to Indigenous Papuan businesses are more organized and measurable.
“We express our gratitude to the Kaimana Regency Government. This is a region that has helped nurture me throughout my leadership journey,” said Fakhiri.
The Papua Provincial Government, he continued, will provide full support to ensure optimal implementation of the application in the region. Kaimana Regency is the second region to adopt SIKAP OAP after Central Papua.
“After Central Papua, now Kaimana Regency. Going forward, we hope this application can be replicated by other regencies and cities throughout Papua,” he said.
By utilizing SIKAP OAP, local governments are expected to more easily map indigenous Papuan businesses, improve data accuracy, and strengthen indigenous Papuan-based economic empowerment policies.
“We have high hopes that through the use of this application, indigenous Papuans can receive optimal service from district and city governments,” concluded Fakhiri.
