Safeguarding Security, Caring for Health: Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 Protects the People of Sinak District

SINAK — The presence of personnel from Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 in Sinak District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua, reflects the Indonesian National Police’s strong commitment to providing both security and healthcare services for the community. Beyond security patrols, the presence of personnel is also felt through healthcare services that directly address the basic needs of local residents.

On Tuesday, January 21, 2026, personnel from the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) of the Indonesian National Police, assigned to the Enforcement Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, deployed directly to residential areas and community activity centers. Equipped with basic medical supplies, they conducted health check-ups, distributed medicines, and provided basic health education. These services were delivered in a friendly and empathetic manner, ensuring that people of all age groups felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Alongside the healthcare services, personnel carried out dialogical public security patrols to ensure that the security situation remained safe and conducive. Through greetings, light conversations, and open communication, residents were given the opportunity to express their concerns and expectations regarding local security conditions. This approach helped foster a sense of calm and strengthened public trust in the presence of the police.

The Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that sustainable security must be built in parallel with efforts to safeguard public health and community welfare.

“Public safety and community health are our top priorities. Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 is here to protect, serve, and ensure that people feel safe through a humanistic and compassionate approach,” Brig. Gen. Faizal Ramadhani stated.

He added that the integration of healthcare services with dialogical patrols forms part of a broader strategy to build public trust and create harmonious security stability in the operational area.

Positive responses were also expressed by residents of Sinak District. A local community leader, Yulius Murib, shared that the presence of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 personnel has brought a sense of security and calm to the community.

“The police are here to maintain security while also caring for our health. They come with a good attitude, communicate with the community, and make us feel protected. This gives us peace of mind and a sense of safety,” he said.

Throughout the activity, the security situation in Sinak District remained safe and conducive. The free healthcare services conducted alongside dialogical public security patrols stand as a clear demonstration of the commitment of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 to maintaining a safe and peaceful Papua, by prioritizing security, health, and genuine care for the community.
