SINAK — The presence of personnel from Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 in Sinak District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua, has been felt not only as an effort to maintain security stability, but also as a tangible expression of care for the health and well-being of the community. Through public security patrols accompanied by free healthcare services, the Indonesian National Police have been able to engage more closely with residents in a warm and reassuring manner.
On Tuesday, January 21, 2026, personnel from the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) of the Indonesian National Police, assigned to the Enforcement Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, went directly into residential areas and community activity centers. Equipped with basic medical supplies, they provided health check-ups, distributed medicines, and delivered basic health education to residents. The services were carried out in a friendly and empathetic manner, allowing community members—from children to the elderly—to feel comfortable and genuinely cared for.
Alongside the healthcare services, personnel also conducted dialogical public security patrols. Residents were greeted with smiles, engaged in friendly conversations, and given the opportunity to express their concerns and expectations regarding the security situation in their neighborhoods. The Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that sustainable security in Papua must be built alongside efforts to improve public health and community welfare.
“Security and health are closely interconnected. Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 is not only tasked with maintaining a conducive security situation, but also with serving the community and providing a sense of safety through a humanistic approach. When people feel protected and cared for, peace will naturally grow,” he stated.
He added that healthcare services combined with dialogical patrols are part of a broader strategy to build public trust and strengthen harmonious relations between the police and the community in operational areas.
The initiative received positive responses from residents of Sinak District. A local community leader, Yulius Murib, expressed that the presence of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 personnel has brought calm and reassurance to the community.
“The police come with sincerity. They check our health, talk with us, and help maintain security in the village. We feel cared for and not alone. This makes us feel calmer and safer,” he said.
