SINAK — The presence of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 personnel in Sinak District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua, was marked not only by security patrols but also by a humanitarian approach that was directly felt by the local community. On Tuesday, January 21, 2026, personnel of the Brimob Corps of the Indonesian National Police, assigned to the Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 Enforcement Task Force, went directly into the community to provide free healthcare services while simultaneously conducting public order and security patrols.
Starting in the morning, task force personnel were seen visiting residents’ homes and community activity points. Equipped with basic medical supplies, they conducted health check-ups, distributed medicines, and provided basic health education. Children, adults, and the elderly alike appeared enthusiastic and at ease while interacting directly with police personnel who served them in a friendly and empathetic manner.
Alongside the healthcare services, security patrols were carried out in a dialogical manner. Personnel greeted residents, engaged in light conversations, and listened to their concerns and hopes regarding security conditions in their neighborhoods. This approach created a warm atmosphere in which the presence of the police was perceived not only as security enforcers but also as caring partners in the community’s daily life.
The Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Brigjen Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that a human-centered approach is the key to building sustainable peace in Papua. According to him, security and community welfare must go hand in hand.
“Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 is not only tasked with maintaining security, but also with fostering peace through services that directly address the needs of the community. When the police are present with sincerity, serving and listening, that is where peace begins to grow,” Brigjen Pol. Faizal Ramadhani stated.
He added that healthcare services and dialogical patrols are part of ongoing efforts to build public trust in the police while strengthening harmonious relationships in areas of assignment.
Positive responses also came from residents of Sinak District. A local community leader, Yulius Murib, expressed that the presence of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 personnel brought a sense of calm and hope to the community.
“The police came in a kind and respectful way. They checked our health, spoke with us, and safeguarded our village. We feel cared for and not alone. This makes us feel calmer and more peaceful,” Yulius Murib said.
Throughout the activity, the security situation in Sinak District remained safe and conducive.
