Penetrating the Silence of the Bintang Mountains, the Cartensz-2026 Peace Operation Strengthens TNI-Polri Solidarity

Pegubin — Beneath the thin mist and the silent landscape of the Bintang Mountains, state officials continue to move. Steep terrain, rapidly changing weather, and remote access are no obstacle for the Cartensz-2026 Peace Operation Task Force to ensure the readiness of personnel serving on the front lines of security in Papua.

On Wednesday afternoon (January 21, 2026), the Cartensz-2026 Peace Operation Task Force arrived at Tactical Command Post (Poskotis) 431, Kostrad Den 4 Rajawali, Serambakon District. The visit was led by the Head of the Cartensz-2026 Peace Operation Assistance Task Force, Senior Commissioner Bambang Widiatmoko, S.H., M.H., along with other task force chiefs, as part of routine assistance to review preparedness and boost morale among TNI-Polri personnel serving in the mountainous region.

At the post, which serves as one of the security guards in the area, the Cartenz-2026 Peace Task Force inspected personnel and supporting facilities, and held direct dialogue with officers in the field. A warm and united atmosphere was palpable, affirming that those serving in difficult terrain do not walk alone.

The gathering with the TNI Kostrad Den 4 Rajawali personnel symbolized the strong solidarity between institutions. From the post, joint TNI-Polri personnel then patrolled the Serambakon District, affirming the state’s presence and providing a sense of security for the surrounding community.

The Head of the Cartenz-2026 Peace Operation, Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that field assistance is not merely a routine activity, but rather a manifestation of the leadership’s concern for personnel carrying out duties in this highly challenging area.

“Amidst the limitations of the terrain and the security dynamics, the presence of leaders conveys a message that the state is present and caring. We want to ensure that the morale, loyalty, and professionalism of our personnel are maintained,” said Brigadier General Faizal.

A similar sentiment was expressed by the Deputy Chief of the Cartensz-2026 Peace Operation, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum. According to him, unity and harmonious relations between task forces are the key to successfully securing the Papua region.

“Solid synergy will strengthen coordination in the field and maintain sustainable security stability,” he explained.

Through joint assistance and patrols in the Bintang Mountains, the Cartensz-2026 Peace Operation Task Force reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining security and peace in Papua. Amidst the silence of the mountains, the presence of officers is a sign that the state continues to stand, guard, and protect.
