Timika — The Peace Operation Public Relations Task Force of Cartenz-2025 Post in Timika held a face-to-face gathering with media partner journalists as an effort to strengthen communication and synergy in delivering accurate and balanced public information. The activity was carried out on Tuesday (December 23, 2025) at 2:00 PM WIT until completion, at Pua-Pua Cafe, Budi Utomo Street, Timika.
The silaturahmi event was led by the Deputy Head of the Peace Operation Public Relations Task Force of Cartenz-2025, Kompol Yusuf Tauziri, S.I.K., and attended by several journalists from various media outlets who have been partners in reporting on the Peace Operation in Timika and surrounding areas.
During the occasion, Kompol Yusuf Tauziri, as the Deputy Head of the Peace Operation Public Relations Task Force of Cartenz, expressed appreciation and gratitude to the press for the cooperation established during the implementation of Peace Operation Cartenz-2025, especially in conveying various activities and achievements of the Task Force professionally to the public.
“We sincerely thank and highly appreciate the media colleagues who have been strategic partners of the Peace Operation Task Force. The role of the media is very important in conveying accurate, balanced, and calming information to the public,” said Kompol Yusuf Tauziri.
He hopes that the communication and partnership relationships that have been built can continue into the upcoming year, including with the personnel of the Peace Operation Cartenz-2026 who will soon be on duty.
“We hope that the synergy and communication that have been well established can be maintained and enhanced so that the work of the Task Force in maintaining security and order in Papua can be fully communicated to the public,” he added.
This meeting also served as a discussion space to strengthen the synergy between the Peace Operation Task Force and the media in delivering factual, balanced, and non-provocative information, as well as preventing the spread of hoaxes that could potentially disrupt security and public order (kamtibmas).
Furthermore, updates on the security situation and law enforcement developments in the operational area were also discussed, including steps taken by the Task Force in dealing with armed criminal groups (KKB), as well as various achievements of Peace Operation Cartenz in maintaining stability and protecting the people of Papua.
Meanwhile, a representative of the journalists, Terry Kontri from MetroTV, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to hold this silaturahmi.

On behalf of all media colleagues, I would like to express our sincere gratitude, as well as apologize if there have been any mistakes in our words over the past year,” said Terry.
He also appreciated the steps and actions taken by the Peace Operation Cartenz in maintaining security and the unity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) in Papua.
“I appreciate the actions of the Peace Operation Cartenz in safeguarding security and the integrity of NKRI in Papua. Hopefully, this good communication will continue, and the reporting to the public will become more objective,” he added.
The silaturahmi activity was conducted in a safe, orderly, and friendly atmosphere. Through this event, the Peace Operation Public Relations Task Force of Cartenz-2025 reaffirmed its commitment to continue building open and constructive communication with the press as a strategic partner in maintaining a secure situation and supporting the realization of a safe, peaceful, and harmonious Papua.
