Jayapura – In welcoming the celebration of Christmas 2025, the Papua Regional Police (Polda Papua) organized a social activity in the form of distributing Christmas gift packages as an expression of care and togetherness with the community.
The activity was carried out by the Polda Papua Christmas Committee on Friday (December 19, 2025).
The distribution of the gift packages took place at several locations, including the Papua Regional Police Detention Center, the Jayapura City Police Detention Center, the Jayapura Mall Motorcycle Taxi Base, and the Bhayangkari Office in Kloofkamp.
This activity represented the tangible presence of the Indonesian National Police in sharing the joy of Christmas with various segments of society.
The event was attended by the Deputy Director of Detainees and Evidence Management of Polda Papua, Commissioner Dominggus Pieter Kalahatu, S.H., the Head of Legal Counseling Subdivision of the Legal Division of Polda Papua, Commissioner Jubelina Wally, as the Coordinator of the Visiting with Love Section, along with members of the Polda Papua Christmas Committee.
Commissioner Dominggus Pieter Kalahatu stated that the distribution of Christmas gift packages was part of the series of Christmas celebrations organized by Polda Papua, which are rich in humanitarian values and togetherness.
According to him, Christmas is the right moment to foster empathy and solidarity.
“Christmas is a time to share love and bring joy, including to our brothers and sisters who are currently undergoing guidance at detention centers,” said Commissioner Dominggus.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Jubelina Wally explained that the activity was also used to deliver public security and order messages to the community.
She invited all elements of society to actively participate in maintaining security and order so that the celebration of Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 could take place safely, peacefully, and joyfully.
“Through togetherness, we can create a celebration atmosphere that is safe, peaceful, and full of joy,” she said.
Through this sharing initiative, Polda Papua reaffirmed its commitment to continuously be present among the community by prioritizing values of care and service, so that the spirit of Christmas love can be felt equally by all levels of society.
