Timika — Efforts to build a sense of security and strengthen public trust in Papua continue to be carried out by the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 through a humanitarian approach that directly touches the lives of local communities. One tangible example was demonstrated by personnel from the Head of Public Relation, Iptu I Gde Pradana Sthirabudhi, S.Ds., who took the time to purchase local fruits from Papuan women traders at Jalan Agimuga Mile 32, Timika, on Friday (December 19, 2025).
The activity took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Iptu I Gde Pradana was seen mingling with the vendors, engaging in light conversations, and warmly greeting the Papuan women as they sold produce from their gardens. This simple interaction reflected the close relationship between security personnel and the local community.
More than just a shopping activity, the initiative served as a concrete form of support for the local economy. By purchasing agricultural products directly from Papuan women, the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 helped increase the income of small-scale traders while also encouraging them to remain productive.
The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.I.K., M.H., expressed his appreciation for the humanitarian efforts carried out by personnel in the field. According to him, the success of the operation is not solely measured by security achievements, but also by the ability to build emotional bonds with the community.
“Simple actions like shopping together with Papuan women have a significant impact. The presence of the police must be felt as that of a partner and a friend to the community, not merely as law enforcement officers,” said Brigadier General of Police Faizal Ramadhani.
Echoing this sentiment, the Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized the importance of direct interaction with the public in maintaining security and public order.
“Through a humanitarian approach, personnel can directly understand the social conditions of the community. This becomes a strong foundation for building trust, which is the key to maintaining security and stability in Papua,” he explained.
Humanitarian activities such as this are expected to continue as part of the ongoing commitment of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 to fostering harmonious relations with the community. With a spirit of togetherness and mutual trust, a safe, peaceful, and conducive situation in Timika and its surrounding areas can be sustainably maintained.
