Timika — The Peace Cartenz Task Force continues to demonstrate its commitment to maintaining security while building public trust in Papua through a humanitarian and community-based approach. This commitment was reflected in an activity carried out by personnel of the Public Relations Unit of the Peace Cartenz Task Force, Iptu I Gde Pradana Sthirabudhi, S.Ds., who went directly to the field to purchase locally grown fruits from Papuan women traders along Jalan Agimuga Mile 32, Timika, on Friday (December 19, 2025).
The activity took place in a relaxed and warm atmosphere. Iptu I Gde Pradana was seen interacting directly with the vendors, greeting them in a friendly manner, and engaging in light conversations with Papuan women selling their agricultural products. This togetherness reflected a harmonious relationship between security personnel and the local community.
More than just a routine shopping activity, the initiative represented a tangible form of concern for strengthening the local economy. By purchasing local farm produce directly, the Peace Cartenz Task Force contributed to increasing the income of small-scale traders while fostering a spirit of economic self-reliance among the community.
The Head of the Peace Cartenz Operation, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.I.K., M.H., expressed his appreciation for the humanitarian steps taken by personnel in the field. He emphasized that the success of the operation is not only determined by a conducive security situation, but also by the establishment of mutual trust between the police and the community.
“Simple actions like this have strategic value in strengthening relationships with the community. The police must be present as partners who protect and support the lives of the people,” said Brigadier General of Police Faizal Ramadhani.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of the Peace Cartenz Operation, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that the direct involvement of personnel within the community is a key factor in maintaining security and public order.
“A humanitarian approach opens healthy channels of communication with the community. Through this, personnel can gain a deeper understanding of social conditions and build sustainable trust,” he explained.
Through humanitarian activities such as this, the Peace Cartenz Task Force hopes to continue strengthening its relationship with the Papuan community. By prioritizing togetherness and mutual trust, a safe, peaceful, and conducive security situation in Timika and its surrounding areas is expected to be continuously maintained.
