Papuan Leader Speaks Out: Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Deemed Successful in Safeguarding Papua’s Security
Jayapura — The performance of the Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force has once again received appreciation from a Papuan community leader. Niko Maury, Chairman of the Papua Provincial Deparda as well as Chairman of Pemuda Panca Marga and Barisan Merah Putih of Jayapura City, stated that the presence of Operation Peace Cartenz has delivered tangible results in maintaining security stability across the Land of Papua.
The statement was delivered by Niko Maury in Jayapura on Friday, December 19, 2025. He emphasized that the Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force has carried out its duties optimally, particularly in law enforcement efforts against armed criminal groups (KKB) that have long disrupted public order.
According to Niko, firm yet measured actions taken by the task force have fostered a growing sense of safety and calm among Papuan residents as they go about their daily activities. He noted that the increasingly conducive security situation reflects the seriousness and commitment of law enforcement agencies in protecting the community.
Niko Maury also highlighted the strategic role of Operation Peace Cartenz in maintaining stability ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebrations. A well-controlled security environment, he said, allows the public to observe major religious holidays with joy and without fear.
Furthermore, he called on all elements of Papuan society to continue safeguarding unity, strengthening social harmony, and supporting the security measures currently being implemented by the government and law enforcement authorities.
“Through togetherness and by placing our trust in God, we believe that peace will continue to be preserved from Sabang to Merauke,” he stated.
In closing, Niko Maury reaffirmed his full support for the Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force, encouraging it to continue carrying out its duties with high dedication and professionalism in order to realize a safe, orderly, and peaceful Papua. He expressed hope that all security operations throughout December would proceed smoothly and provide comfort for the community in welcoming the Christmas celebration.
