Jayapura — Support for Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 continues to come from Papuan community leaders. Niko Maury, Chairman of the Papua Provincial Deparda as well as Chairman of Pemuda Panca Marga and Barisan Merah Putih of Jayapura City, expressed his appreciation for the performance of the task force in maintaining security and stability across the Land of Papua. The statement was delivered in Jayapura on Friday (December 19, 2025).
Niko Maury emphasized that Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 has demonstrated maximum effort, particularly in law enforcement actions against armed criminal groups (KKB). According to him, these efforts have had a tangible impact by fostering a sense of safety and comfort among the Papuan people.
He also highlighted the significant role of the task force in maintaining a conducive security situation ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebrations. The stable conditions, he noted, have allowed the community to carry out daily activities and religious observances peacefully and with a sense of joy.
On the same occasion, Niko called on all elements of Papuan society to continue safeguarding unity and harmony, while supporting the security measures being implemented by the government and law enforcement agencies.
“Through togetherness and by placing our trust in God, we believe that peace can continue to be preserved throughout the nation, from Sabang to Merauke,” he stated.
Concluding his remarks, Niko Maury reaffirmed his full support for Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, encouraging the task force to continue carrying out its duties with dedication and professionalism. He expressed hope that all security operations throughout December would proceed smoothly, ensuring that the people of Papua can welcome Christmas in a safe and peaceful atmosphere.
