Jayapura — A Papuan community leader who also serves as Chairman of the Papua Provincial Deparda, as well as Chairman of Pemuda Panca Marga and Barisan Merah Putih of Jayapura City, Niko Maury, expressed his appreciation for Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 for its performance in maintaining security stability across Papua. The statement was delivered on Friday, December 19, 2025, in Jayapura City.
In his remarks, Niko Maury emphasized that Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 has carried out its duties optimally in enforcing the law, particularly against armed criminal groups operating in Papua. He assessed that these efforts have contributed significantly to creating a sense of safety and comfort for the community.
He further stated that the presence of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 has played an important role in maintaining stability ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebrations. According to him, the increasingly conducive security situation has allowed the public to carry out their daily activities peacefully in their own homeland.
Niko Maury also called on all Papuan communities to continue maintaining harmony and to support the security efforts being implemented by the government and law enforcement agencies.
“Through unity and by relying on God, we believe that peace can continue to be preserved from Sabang to Merauke,” he said.
In addition to expressing his appreciation, Niko Maury reaffirmed his full support for Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 to continue carrying out its duties with high dedication in order to realize a safe, orderly, and peaceful Papua.
He also expressed hope that all security operations throughout December would run smoothly and provide comfort and reassurance for the public as they prepare to celebrate Christmas.
