Timika — Local UMKM vendors in Timika expressed positive responses to the presence of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 personnel during their daily economic activities. The direct purchase of Papuan handicrafts on Tuesday (December 16, 2025) was seen as a morale booster for small business owners.
Personnel led by Iptu I Gde Pradana Sthirabudhi, S.Ds., visited noken artisans at Jalan SP 5 and Jalan Belibis, interacting directly with Papuan women weavers, including Mama Elsa, the head of the local noken artisan group.
Vendors stated that the presence of security personnel not only increased their sense of safety but also helped promote their products.
