Pegunungan Bintang, Papua Pegunungan — A warm and uplifting atmosphere unfolded as personnel of the Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force engaged with children in Oksibil District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency, on Thursday (20 November 2025) at around 15:30 WIT. The activity reflected the Task Force’s commitment to fostering peace through human-centered interaction with local communities.
The moment took place along Kotdol Street, near the Pegunungan Bintang Regent’s Office, during a routine patrol by the Task Force. Upon seeing children playing nearby, the personnel approached them, creating an atmosphere of closeness through friendly conversations, simple games, and words of encouragement for the young generation to stay in school and pursue their dreams.
The children and nearby residents responded with genuine enthusiasm. Smiles and laughter showed how a strong emotional connection continues to grow between security personnel and the community. For residents, the friendly presence of the Task Force created a sense of comfort in their daily activities.
The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that such activities are part of the operation’s human-centered approach, aimed not only at maintaining security but also strengthening social bonds.
“We want to show that the duty of security personnel extends beyond maintaining order. It is also about bringing happiness and a sense of safety to the community. Through simple interactions like this, we hope to build trust and emotional closeness, especially with children as the future generation of Papua,” said Brigadier General Faizal.
The Deputy Head of Operation, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., added that positive communication and social engagement are essential components of maintaining long-term stability in Pegunungan Bintang.
“We will continue encouraging activities like this across all units. Children are the future of Papua, and nurturing a sense of safety and care from an early age helps build a solid foundation for peace in this region,” stated Chief Commissioner Adarma.
The joyful interaction in Pegunungan Bintang served as a clear reminder that the presence of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 in Papua is not only to uphold security, but also to act as companions and protectors for all members of the community—especially the younger generation living in the highlands.
