Paniai — A human-centered approach was once again demonstrated by personnel of Operation Peace Cartenz during a community engagement activity in Bibida District, Paniai Regency, on Saturday afternoon (15 November 2025) at around 16:30 WIT. The simple yet meaningful gathering created a warm space for officers and residents to connect closely.
Led by Second Police Inspector (Ipda) Nofri Surya Rossa, the Peace Cartenz personnel blended naturally with the local community. Children were the most enthusiastic—welcoming the officers’ arrival with bright smiles, cheerful laughter, and genuine curiosity. The officers responded with equal warmth, sharing snacks, playing with them, and taking photos together.
According to Ipda Nofri, the activity served as a bridge to strengthen emotional ties between security personnel and the local community.
“We want to continue fostering peace in Papua through caring and heartfelt interactions. Children are our future, and seeing their joy gives us renewed spirit in carrying out our duties,” he said.
A friendly and welcoming atmosphere filled the area. Residents greeted the officers with open smiles, while children gleefully held the snacks and balls they received from the team.
Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations Task Force of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Chief Commissioner of Police (Kombes Pol) Dr. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that such activities reflect the operation’s commitment to building peace through a compassionate and people-centered approach.
“We continue encouraging every personnel to present themselves with a humanistic spirit. Our duty is not only to maintain security but also to build trust and closeness with the community,” said Kombes Yusuf.
Through this activity, Operation Peace Cartenz reaffirms that the presence of security forces in Papua is not solely for maintaining public order, but also to instill humanitarian values and strengthen social bonds within the community.
