Jayapura — Papuan community elder Timotius Mauri has expressed strong support for the Peace Cartenz Operation Task Force as it continues enforcing the law against armed groups that oppose the government in Papua.
In his statement delivered in Jayapura on Friday (14/11), Timotius emphasized that the steps taken by the Peace Cartenz Task Force are crucial to maintaining stability and ensuring that the people can live in a safe and peaceful environment.
“As part of the Papuan community, I fully support the Peace Cartenz Operation Task Force. I also appreciate their firm and measured actions against groups that continue to oppose the government,” Timotius said.
He noted that the professionalism of the Peace Cartenz Task Force has contributed to improving security conditions in various areas of Papua.
Timotius further expressed hope that the Peace Cartenz Operation Task Force will continue carrying out its duties with integrity, prioritize a humanistic approach, and remain committed to building a safer, more peaceful, and prosperous Papua.
