Nabire, Central Papua — The National Championship Motoprix series 2 region E Central Papua 2025 officially begins at the former Nabire airfield circuit track. This national level motorcycle racing event becomes a prestigious event that attracts the attention of automotive lovers, as well as a forum for developing young talents in the world of Papua motorcycle racing.
The Governor of Central Papua, Meki Nawipa, officially opened the Motoprix Professional. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of this sports activity as part of the selection of athletes ahead of the National Sports Week (PON) 2028 which will be held in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
“This Motoprix competition is not only a competition, but also a more intensive coaching tool for young Papuan racers. From here, we hope that an outstanding athlete will be born who can represent Central Papua at the national level,” said Governor Nawipa.
He also gave a message to all participants to maintain their health and stay alert during the competition series. “Safety is the main thing. Enjoy this competition with high sportsmanship,” he said.
There are 26 classes competed in this series, starting from Motoprix Professional classes, Beginner, Expert, Rookie, Novice, to local special classes in Papua and local Central Papua. The committee has also prepared a number of attractive prizes for the winners.
With full support from the local government and public enthusiasm, Kejurnas Motoprix series 2 Central Papua is expected to be a positive momentum for the development of automotive sports as well as strengthening Nabire’s image as a host who is ready to welcome large-scale events in the future.
