Paniai, Central Papua — The Damai Cartenz Task Force, together with Paniai Police, conducted a joint patrol and social activities with the local community in Bibida District, Paniai Regency, on Saturday (Sept. 20, 2025), from 1:45 p.m. until completion. The initiative aimed to maintain security stability while strengthening emotional ties between security forces and residents.
During the patrol, Damai Cartenz personnel not only monitored the Bibida area to ensure a safe and conducive situation, but also took time to engage with the community. Officers distributed snacks and basic food packages to residents and children in the vicinity.
The presence of Bhayangkari, the police officers’ wives association, added warmth to the event while also enlivening the celebration of Paniai Police Traffic Unit’s anniversary. Residents expressed their enthusiasm through smiles, greetings, and friendly gestures along the patrol route.
Chief of Damai Cartenz Operation, Brig. Gen. Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that the patrol was not merely about maintaining security but also about showing care for the people.
“We want to provide a sense of safety while fostering togetherness within the community. The presence of security forces is not only to protect but also to share. Through activities like this, we hope residents will continue to trust us and feel comfortable with our presence,” Brig. Gen. Faizal said.
Echoing the statement, Deputy Chief of Damai Cartenz Operation, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., highlighted the importance of synergy between security forces and the community in preserving peace.
“Bibida District plays a vital role in maintaining stability in Paniai Regency. The harmony and warm welcome from residents prove that peace can be achieved when we trust each other and move forward together. We encourage all elements of society to maintain a conducive atmosphere and not be easily provoked,” Commissioner Adarma stated.
By prioritizing a humanistic approach, the Damai Cartenz Task Force reaffirmed its commitment to stand with the people of Papua — fostering togetherness, ensuring security, and working toward a peaceful and prosperous Papua.
