Task Force of Cartenz Escorts the Handover of Suspect Anis Telenggen to Nabire District Attorney’s Office

Nabire, Central Papua — The Peaceful Operations Task Force (Task Force of Cartenz), together with personnel from Puncak Jaya Police, conducted the escort and handover of a murder suspect, Anis Telenggen alias Male (20), to the Nabire District Attorney’s Office on Friday (September 12, 2025).

The suspect was previously listed as a wanted person (DPO) according to Police Report Number LP/B/18/VIII/2024/SPKT/Polres Puncak Jaya/Polda Papua, dated August 15, 2024, as well as DPO/S-34/06/X/2024/Reskrim. He is involved in a murder case as stipulated under Article 340 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) point 1 of the KUHP, subsidiarily under Article 338 of the KUHP in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) point 1 of the KUHP.

The team transported the suspect to the Nabire District Attorney’s Office for the second stage of handover, including the transfer of the suspect along with evidence. Afterwards, the team accompanied the Attorney’s Office personnel to escort the suspect to Nabire Correctional Facility (Lapas).

The evidence handed over included:

2 long firearms of the AK 101 type
1 handgun HS-9
1 four-wheeled vehicle
Brigadier General Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., Commander of the Task Force of Cartenz, emphasized that handing over the suspect to the Prosecutor’s Office is part of a transparent law enforcement process.

“We ensure that all procedures are followed properly. The handover of the suspect and evidence is a commitment from us to uphold justice, as well as to provide legal certainty for the community,” said Brigadier General Faizal.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commander of the Task Force of Cartenz, Kombes Pol Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stressed the importance of synergy with other law enforcement agencies.

“This success is the result of solid cooperation between the Task Force of Cartenz, Puncak Jaya Police, and the Prosecutor’s Office. We hope the community continues to trust that the law is enforced fairly. Let us work together to maintain a conducive situation and avoid being provoked by misleading issues,” explained Kombes Adarma.

The Task Force of Cartenz affirms that they will continue to carry out their law enforcement duties while maintaining security and peace in Papua through measured and humane steps.
