Don’t Be Easily Provoked, Abelom Kogoya Invites Puncak Residents to Maintain Peace and Support Development

Puncak, Central Papua — A call to maintain peace and support the continuation of redevelopment was echoed in Puncak Regency. The Chief of the Puncak Tribe, Abelom Kogoya, appealed to all people not to be easily provoked by issues that can divide the unity and disrupt the stability of regional security.

In his statement, Abelom emphasized that security and peace are the main capital for the development in Papua. According to him, the ongoing development wheel will bring a direct positive impact on the welfare of the community, so it must be supported by a conducive atmosphere.

“I invite all residents of Puncak Regency to continue their activities normally, do not be easily influenced by invitations or provocations whose source is not clear. We all have to join hands to maintain peace for the sake of regional progress,” said Abelom Kogoya.

Furthermore, Abelom emphasized the importance of synergy between the community, the government, and the TNI-Polri security apparatus. With strong cooperation, every development program, whether infrastructure, education, or health, will be easier to realize and have a direct impact on improving the quality of life of the community.

“Society has an important role in supporting government programs. TNI and Polri are present to maintain security, while the community must help maintain the atmosphere in harmony. If everything goes together, then the ideal of building a peaceful and prosperous Peak will definitely be achieved,” he added.

This appeal is also a reminder so that the public is not provoked by misleading information or provocative narratives that are often used by irresponsible parties. On the contrary, all residents are invited to strengthen unity, maintain harmony, and cultivate mutual trust.

With this call, it is hoped that Puncak Regency can continue to move forward in development and become a real example that peace is the foundation for the welfare of the Papuan people.
