Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force Strengthens Bonds with Mimika Community

Mimika – A warm atmosphere filled Kampung Mware, Mimika Timur District, Mimika Regency, on Tuesday afternoon (September 2). The Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force visited and greeted the local community through a togetherness activity full of joy.

Starting at 5:30 p.m. local time, task force personnel mingled with residents and children, sharing snacks, engaging in casual conversations, and taking photos together. This simple yet meaningful moment brought smiles and strengthened the bond between security forces and the community.

The people of Kampung Mware welcomed the task force with great enthusiasm. Their presence not only brought happiness but also fostered closeness and trust.

This activity was carried out by the Public Relations Unit of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force, led by Police Inspector Iptu I Gde Pradana Sthirabudhi, S.Ds., along with Bripda Alfesa Hafiz Bagaskara and Bripda Irgi Alamsyah.

The Head of Cartenz Peace Operation, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized the importance of such persuasive approaches in maintaining good relations with the people of Papua.

“We want to always be present among the community, not only in carrying out security duties but also through simple activities that bring smiles and comfort. The task force’s presence must be that of a friend to the people.”
His statement reflects that the presence of security forces in Papua goes beyond law enforcement. It also carries a message of compassion, care, and togetherness that embraces all groups.

Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Cartenz Peace Operation, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stressed the importance of a humanitarian approach in all task force activities.

“A humanistic approach is key to creating peace and mutual trust between security personnel and the community. Through activities like this, we want to show that we are here not only to safeguard security but also to share care and compassion.”

This expression further highlights that the security forces are not distant from the people. Instead, they strive to blend in, listen, and be present as part of Papua’s extended family. In doing so, emotional closeness can flourish, and the spirit of brotherhood grows stronger.

Through this initiative, the Public Relations Unit of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force reaffirms its commitment to building strong communication and fostering harmonious relations in Mimika. These small yet sincere efforts are expected to lay the foundation for a peaceful Papua filled with love and unity.
