Puncak Jaya, Papua Highlands — As part of efforts to build closer ties with the community, the Cartenz Peace Task Force carried out another humanitarian visit in Kulirik District, Puncak Jaya Regency, on Wednesday (16/7/2025) at around 11:00 WIT.
The activity was marked by warm and friendly interactions with local “mama-mama” (Papuan women). Smiles and laughter filled the gathering, showing how warmly the Task Force personnel were welcomed. Besides sharing messages of peace, the visit served as a way to strengthen bonds between security forces and the local community.
The Head of Cartenz Peace Operation, Brig. Gen. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., who attended the event with Deputy Operation Head, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that activities like this are a vital part of the human-centered approach continuously implemented across Papua.
“The Cartenz Peace Operation is not solely about maintaining security, but also about building trust and a sense of safety through approaches that touch people’s hearts,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal.
The Head of Public Relations for the operation, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., added that direct engagement with grassroots communities, particularly the “mama-mama,” is part of efforts to strengthen emotional and social connections between security forces and the people.
“Through activities like this, we are here not to create distance but to embrace and grow together with the Papuan community,” he explained.
The Cartenz Peace Task Force reaffirmed its commitment to continue being present among the people through programs that uphold humanitarian values, solidarity, and peace, in pursuit of a safe and dignified Papua.
