Papua – A magnitude 4.1 earthquake jolted the Nabire area in Papua on Tuesday (15/7/2025), according to an official release from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
BMKG reported that the earthquake occurred at 11:26:29 AM Western Indonesia Time (WIB). The epicenter was located at 2.74 degrees South latitude and 135.43 degrees East longitude, approximately 92 kilometers northwest of Nabire, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

As of this report, there have been no reports of damage or casualties resulting from the quake.
