Timika – To commemorate Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri, personnel from the Public Relations Task Force of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 in Timika held a thanksgiving event on Friday morning (June 6, 2025). The event took place at the Public Relations Task Force Post of Operation Peace Cartenz, located in the heart of Timika City, Papua.
The activity began at 08:15 WIT and was led by the Deputy Head of the Public Relations Task Force, Police Commissioner Yusuf Tauziri, S.I.K. That morning was filled with solemnity and a sense of kinship, as personnel gathered in full uniform yet in a relaxed manner to participate in the series of events.
In his remarks, Commissioner Yusuf Tauziri emphasized that the thanksgiving was not merely ceremonial, but also a form of gratitude for the protection and smooth execution of duties carried out by the entire task force. He also stressed the importance of maintaining team spirit amid the demanding operational environment.
“This thanksgiving is an expression of our gratitude to God Almighty for His blessings, and also serves as a moment to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among members, who have been working hard to maintain security and stability in Papua,” said Commissioner Yusuf in his speech.
After the speech, the event continued with a communal prayer led by Briptu Santriawan. In a quiet and solemn atmosphere, the personnel prayed for continued safety and smooth operations in the future.
The highlight of the event was a communal meal. The dishes served were simple yet meaningful Eid specialties, reflecting values of modesty and solidarity. The shared meal became a meaningful moment of bonding among the personnel, most of whom are far from their families back home.
This activity served as a form of human-centered engagement within the police duty environment in an operational area, while also reinforcing the mental and moral strength of the Public Relations Task Force of Operation Peace Cartenz as they fulfill their mandate to safeguard peace in Papua.
