Jayapura, May 10, 2025 — The Public Relations Task Force of Operation Peace Cartenz-2025 held a humanitarian outreach event in Entrop, South Jayapura District, Jayapura City, on Saturday (May 10).
Led by First Police Inspector Syahrir Mahyuddin, the event featured a variety of activities that directly engaged local residents, including children. Games, moments of shared joy, and informal conversations between officers and community members created a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., Commander of Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, said the event was part of a persuasive approach aimed at building long-term security in Papua.
“Security isn’t just about enforcement—it’s also about touching hearts. Our presence here, especially with the children, reflects our commitment to creating a peaceful and harmonious Papua,” he stated.
The event was well-received by residents. One local, Yahya Numberi, expressed his appreciation for the police presence in their neighborhood.
“The children were really happy to play and get attention from the officers. It made us feel closer to the police,” he said.
Senior Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., Head of Public Relations for Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, added that this initiative is part of a human-centered public communication strategy designed to restore public trust in the police.
“We want to be present in communities not just as law enforcers, but also as friends and partners. This kind of approach is essential for building mutual trust and maintaining stability,” he explained.
The humanitarian presence of the Peace Cartenz Task Force was met with enthusiasm by residents and seen as a meaningful step toward strengthening the relationship between the police and the community, while also fostering a greater sense of safety.
