The Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz: Dialogic Patrols in Yalimo Reflect Police Presence Within the Community

Elelim, Yalimo Regency, Papua, April 3, 2025 – The Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 (Ops Damai Cartenz) is intensifying efforts to foster community trust and ensure public safety through dialogic patrols in Papua’s Yalimo Regency.

These patrols are a testament to the Indonesian National Police’s commitment to a humanistic and communicative approach to law enforcement.

Chief Commissioner of Police (Kombes Pol) Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025 (Wakaops), emphasized the significance of these patrols in building closer relationships between officers and residents.

“Our primary objectives with these dialogic patrols are to provide a sense of security by being present within the community, foster effective communication between law enforcement and citizens, prevent public disturbances, and proactively identify potential conflicts through early detection,” stated Kombes Pol Sinaga.

This initiative reflects Ops Damai Cartenz’s dedication to not only maintaining order but also educating the public on legal matters and encouraging active community participation in safeguarding their neighborhoods. By adopting this approach, the task force aims to better understand the social dynamics at play and address concerns collaboratively.

Kombes Pol Sinaga expressed optimism that these efforts would strengthen the partnership between the police and the community, contributing to lasting stability in Yalimo.

“We aspire for the community to view the police as approachable and supportive. Ultimately, maintaining security is a collective responsibility,” he concluded.

These dialogic patrols are integral to the broader mission of Ops Damai Cartenz 2025 to promote peace, safety, and prosperity throughout Papua.
