Jayapura, March 21, 2025 – The Chairman of Pemuda Mandala Trikora Papua Province and Secretary-General of the Barisan Merah Putih Republic of Indonesia (BMP-RI) Papua, Ali Kabiay, has called on all Papuans to maintain security and public order (kamtibmas) during the holy month of Ramadan.
Ali Kabiay emphasized the importance of fostering religious tolerance, especially in respecting Muslims who are observing their fast. He highlighted that Papua has a strong tradition of unity and mutual respect among people of different faiths.
“Let us uphold religious tolerance and demonstrate that Papua embodies strong values of togetherness and mutual respect among religious communities,” he stated.
Additionally, Ali Kabiay urged religious leaders, community figures, and the public to play an active role in creating a safe, peaceful, and harmonious atmosphere in Papua. He hopes that synergy among various societal elements will further strengthen unity and solidarity.
Through this appeal, it is expected that all Papuans will contribute to maintaining social stability and fostering a conducive environment throughout Ramadan.
