Yalimo – The atmosphere in Yalimo Regency felt different on Monday afternoon (January 27). The presence of the Ops Damai Cartenz Task Force among the local community brought a warm sense of togetherness. With friendly smiles and casual conversations, Task Force members engaged with residents while handing over donations of a soccer ball and a volleyball as a gesture of support for positive activities in the area.
The Head of Public Relations for Ops Damai Cartenz, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, stated that this initiative is a tangible form of concern for the community in their area of duty. According to him, the donation of the balls is not just a mere contribution but also a symbol of encouragement to promote sports activities and strengthen unity among the youth.
“We want the young people in Yalimo to be more active in meaningful activities. The balls we donated symbolize the spirit and hope that sports can be a platform for their growth,” said Commissioner Yusuf.
In addition to handing over the donations, Task Force members also engaged directly in casual discussions with the residents. They listened to the community’s aspirations, provided security advice, and chatted warmly in a family-like atmosphere.
Commissioner Yusuf added, “We are here to support the community, both in terms of security and in efforts to build closer social bonds. This approach is important to ensure that the community feels comfortable and confident.”
