Jayapura – Puncak Jaya personnel are currently investigating the slashing incident against 1 Ilu Police Personnel, Puncak Jaya Regency.
This incident occurred on Sunday (10/27/2024), and from the slashing incident, Ilu Police Personnel, Puncak Jaya Regency, Bripka Arif Hidayat suffered serious head injuries.
Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Senior Commissioner Pol. Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, S.H., S.I.K., M.Kom., when confirmed, confirmed the slashing incident.
“At 13.12 WIT, in the District of Ilu, Puncak Jaya Regency, there was a Serious Assault Crime (stabbing) carried out by an unknown person against Ilu Police Personnel, Puncak Jaya Police, in the name of Bripka Arif Hidayat,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police.
And in a separate place, the Puncak Jaya Police Chief, AKBP Kuswara S.H., S.I.K., M.H., said that at that time the victim left the Ilu Police Headquarters to go to a kiosk, with the intention of taking chickens located in Kampung 55.
“Then the 2 (two) unknown persons appeared from the kiosk on the left belonging to the victim, before the stabbing incident occurred, the victim had time to chat with the two unknown persons, and unexpectedly the two unknown persons swung their machetes at the victim which directly hit the victim’s head, then the 2 unknown persons immediately ran away,” he explained.
And currently the victim is in a critical condition, and has been referred to the Bhayangkara Hospital in Jayapura.
