Jayapura, October 6, 2024 — The release of the Susi Air Pilot was again in the spotlight in a talk show with the Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Task Force Operation, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, who is also the Deputy Chief of the Papua Police.
In the event broadcast by Sin Po TV, Saturday, October 5, 2024, Brigadier General Faizal revealed a number of dynamics and challenges faced during the release operation.
In his message, Brigadier General Faizal emphasized the importance of patience as the main key to the success of this rescue operation. “We must be patient and we must be calm,” he said firmly.
However, he also revealed that many soldiers died during the rescue mission, indicating how difficult the challenges were. Nevertheless, the Cartenz Peace Task Force operation will continue with the aim of maintaining peace in Papua.
Quoting the message of Reverend Izaac Samuel Kijne from 1925, Brigadier General Faizal said that anyone who works sincerely in the land of Papua will walk “from one wonder to another”. This, according to him, is reflected in the success of the liberation they achieved thanks to the blessings of God Almighty and the hard work of all parties involved.
“Various parties have worked hard, and we are only continuing and completing the last step. This can be an important lesson for future approaches in dealing with the Papuan problem,” said Faizal.
He added that the soft approach, which emphasizes dialogue and understanding, has shown positive results and can be applied in various sectors in Papua.
Closing the discussion, Brigadier General Faizal motivated the entire Cartenz Peace Task Force team with the spirit, “PEACE CARTENZ, FORWARD…!!!”
