Getting on a Boat to Pick Up Aspiration, Musa Naa Absorbs the Complaints of the Coastal Residents of Teluk Bintuni

Bintuni Bay, West Papua – The commitment to hear directly to the aspirations of the community was shown by West Papua DPRD Member, Musa Naa, by visiting a number of villages in the coastal area of Teluk Bintuni Regency using boat transportation. The activity was carried out in the framework of Recess II which took place from May 31 to June 8, 2026.

Traveling along the waters of Bintuni Bay is part of Musa Naa’s efforts to reach areas that have limited transportation access. In every village visited, the Perindo Party politician had a dialogue with the community, traditional figures, community leaders, youth, and village tools to absorb various aspirations and needs faced by the residents.

From the results of the meeting, the community conveyed a number of issues that are still of concern, including inadequate road infrastructure conditions, limited health and education services, as well as the need for government support for the fisheries sector and the marine-based economy, which is the main source of livelihood for coastal communities.

Musa Naa said that recess activities are not just fulfilling the divinity agenda, but become an important momentum to ensure that every community’s aspiration can be heard and fought for in the discussion of policies and regional development programs.

“This recess is an obligation as well as a golden opportunity for me to be present directly in the midst of the people. Many areas in Bintuni Bay have limited access, so we have to use a boat to be able to hear directly what the community hopes for,” said Musa Naa.

According to him, all aspirations gathered during recess activities will be material in fighting for development programs at the legislative level, especially those related to improving basic infrastructure, health services, education, and strengthening the economic sector of coastal communities.

He hopes that the local government can give more attention to areas that still have limited access, so that the equal distribution of development can be felt by all communities without exception.

Through the recess activity, Musa Naa emphasized his commitment to continue to bridge the needs of the community with the government, as well as ensuring that every input received can be followed up into a program that provides real benefits for the welfare of the people of West Papua, especially in Teluk Bintuni Regency.
