Mimika- The Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force has successfully arrested the Puncak Armed Criminal Group (KKB) DPO, Mairon Tabuni alias Solikin, at Aminggaru Ilaga Airport, Puncak Regency, on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 09.05 WIT.
This arrest was made based on his involvement in the attack and shooting case against a civilian, Sudirman, who is a kiosk trader in Ilaga, Puncak Regency, on May 23, 2024.
In the attack, the victim suffered a serious gunshot wound to the back of his right leg that penetrated the sole of his foot, as well as a wound to the shin of his left leg that penetrated the calf. This case was recorded in the police report LP/B/6/V/2024/SPKT/Polres Puncak and DPO/11/VI/Res.1.7/2024/Reskrim.
Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Task Force Operations, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, confirmed the arrest.
“We have secured the Puncak KKB DPO in the name of Mairon Tabuni alias Solikin. The person concerned was involved in the criminal attack and shooting of civilians in Ilaga, Puncak Regency,” said Brigadier General Faizal.
Head of Public Relations for the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operations, Senior Commissioner Dr. Bayu Suseno, added that Mairon Tabuni was a member of the KKB Kepala Air led by Papuanus alias Jeki Murib in Puncak Regency. Currently, Mairon Tabuni has been taken to the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operations Post in Mimika for further examination.
